2. What DriveGT is
DriveGT is a private automotive network for vehicle owners, collectors, dealers, and professional buyers. Members can create private garages, document vehicles, upload media, receive market intelligence, send or receive offers, follow garages, exchange private messages, and access curated automotive content.
3. The personal data we collect
Depending on how you use DriveGT, we may collect:

4. How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- create and manage your DriveGT account
- provide your membership and platform access
- show your garage and vehicle content according to your settings
- process offers, messages, follows, saves, respects, and other member interactions
- calculate or display valuation estimates and market intelligence
- personalize Street, garages, recommendations, and relevant market signals
- process payments, invoices, and billing records
- send service communications such as verification emails, account updates, offer notifications, valuation alerts, and receipts
- improve security, prevent fraud, and investigate abuse
- operate analytics, performance monitoring, and product improvements
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements
The ICO says privacy notices should clearly explain both the categories of information collected and the purposes for which they are used.
5. Legal bases we rely on
Depending on the context, we process personal data on one or more of the following bases:
- Contract — where processing is necessary to provide your DriveGT membership or requested services
- Legitimate interests — where we need to operate, improve, secure, and grow the platform, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights
- Consent — where required, including for certain optional communications or cookies / similar technologies
- Legal obligation — where we must keep records or comply with tax, accounting, anti-fraud, or law-enforcement obligations
The ICO explains that a privacy notice should tell users the lawful basis relied on for each type of processing where required.
6. What other members can see
DriveGT is built around controlled visibility.
Depending on your settings and account type, other members may see:
- your username
- your first name
- your country
- your garage cover and profile image
- your garage bio
- your vehicles, vehicle images, and selected vehicle details
- public engagement signals such as follows, saves, respects, or selected garage / vehicle activity
Unless you choose otherwise, your full personal identity, direct contact details, and certain records remain private. Identity may only be shared through accepted platform flows or direct member choice.
7. Offers, messages, and interactions
If you send or receive offers, messages, follows, saves, respects, or other interactions:
- we process that information to operate those features;
- we may show limited interaction status to the relevant members;
- we store related records to maintain account history, product integrity, anti-abuse controls, and dispute review.
If you block another member, we process that relationship data to enforce the block across discovery, messaging, offers, and related interactions.
8. Valuations and market intelligence
DriveGT may show estimated values, valuation ranges, pulse data, radar rankings, and other market signals. To do this, we may use:
- your vehicle data
- regional market selections
- historical sales or market data
- engagement and activity signals
- internal platform analytics
These outputs are estimates for informational purposes only and should not be treated as guaranteed values or professional appraisals.
9. Payments, invoices, and billing
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe or equivalent providers. We do not store full card details on DriveGT servers.
We may receive and store payment-related metadata including:
- payment success or failure
- invoice identifiers
- amount paid
- tax amount
- billing country
- receipt and invoice links
- membership activation dates
10. Cookies and similar technologies
DriveGT uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in
- remember your preferences
- maintain security
- measure traffic and platform performance
- understand product usage
- improve the service
- support selected personalization features
The ICO states that users must be given clear and comprehensive information about cookies and similar technologies, and consent is required for most non-essential uses. You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie banner or settings where available.
11. Email, push notifications, and marketing

- optional editorial, event, or market updates depending on your preferences
If we send electronic marketing, cookie-based communications, or similar messaging, we will do so in line with applicable UK GDPR and PECR requirements. The ICO notes that PECR applies to email and text marketing as well as cookies and similar technologies. You can opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time.
12. Who we share data with
We may share personal data with trusted service providers that help us operate DriveGT, such as:
